We will supply two bathrooms, dish washer, clothes washer. What size should I choose?** A: I noted someone below stating they got the largest one and they can only run one water source at a time. My guess is they installed it wrong by not getting the electric hooked up right, or maybe the unit was just defective, or they live in Alaska. I went under size with an Eco 27 a few years ago because that’s all my electric panel could handle. We have zero issues in the summer. During winter months we can only run one shower at a time and have to slowly fill a tub (maybe 3/4 fill speed). To save as much money as I am on electric bill and have unlimited shower lengths (only 1 person at a time mid-Dec to mid-March) is totally worth it. On here today because I’m thinking of upping my panel size so was thinking of going with a larger one now. Regardless, CCRC’s experience with the largest unit not working is nothing like the experience I’ve had, and again I intentionally undersized mine for the house. The website has a clear chart to explain size you need based on number of water fixtures in your home and ground water temperature. **Q: My inlet temp is 44 degrees. I'm only concerned with using one shower. Will this supply 105 degrees at 1.75 GPM's?** A: My water heater receives a cold water supply of about 40 degrees, than produces HOT water @ about 140, depending on the distance between the heater and the shower (travel time) you should do fine. **Q: Just to be certain, please confirm if this is a whole house water heater. Can I simply remove my current 50 gal water heater and install this?** A: We installed this last July and have been very happy with it. We have a small house of about 1000 square feet and 2 people and my daughter coming by every week with lots of laundry. We have had no problems what so ever. **Q: I just bought the ECO 18. I was prepared to have a double 40A breaker installed, but the instructions say I need TWO double pole 40A. Is that correct?** A: The ECO-18 requires two seperate circuits therefore two 40A breakers. We love ours, infact we just bought a second one for the hot tub.
