Review: Very good indeed - These are usually about £55 or more from the UK ham radio stores so £33.75 at desertcart was a steal. Bought to use with a Yaesu ft891 and icom 7300. Really good loud sound, no interference problems whatsoever in all modes at 100w. The speaker has a limited frequency range from 300 to 5000hz which is perfect for ssb and cw and reduces the unwanted noise. Solidly made. It has a noise suppression button on the top but the difference was only mildly noticeable. A good purchase at this price.

**Q: Does the bc20 need an external power or does it plug into an ac port**
A: The BC20 is not powered, if you need it to be louder, go with the BC23A, which connects to 12VDC.  The sound from it is great.

**Q: How is this speaker powered? I have a uniden R3 radar, and i want a speaker to plug into the aux port so i can have my radio up and still hear.**
A: The speaker is powered from the EXT SP Port, External Speaker.  That's it.  
I purchased a Uniden/Bearcat  speaker with my scanner.  Plenty Loud Enough For Me!  Works off the Volume Control Of The Scanner.

If you have a EXT SP port, Audio Companies know how to broadcast it to your entire neighborhood, if you got the $$$ and desire.

**Q: Does this come with the wires to hook it up to Uniden 880 bearcat radio**
A: It comes with a single non detachable cord that plugs into the back hole marked "ext. Speaker"

**Q: I would like to mount a speaker at the driver's side corner of the windshield on the curved dash surface.  Is this a good choice?**
A: No, there would be to much vibration for it. I wired it  and mounted it at the bottom of the dash of a 389 Peterbuilt, so it would be stable.
