Nothing to measure, fill, or spill. Improperly seasoning with distilled water can shock and permanently damage a wood storage container and its seal. Why season a new wood storage box? You’ll avoid constantly battling low humidity levels. Your goal is to help your storage box achieve 70% relative humidity (RH) to maintain an ideal environment. The Boveda 84% RH automatically gets to work gradually raising the moisture level while precisely providing moisture directly to the cellular structure of the wood, so it doesn’t rob moisture from your stored goods. Creates a tighter seal for a desktop storage box. After seasoning, dispose of the seasoning packs and replace them with the include Boveda 72% RH, which maintain ideal RH in a wood storage container. Lasts for 2-4 months. For best results: season a new wood storage container with Boveda before adding contents, then re-season a wood storage container 1-2 times per year. Note: Do not mix different Boveda RH levels within the same storage box. For ease of use to season your humidor ,the Boveda seasoning pack is simplicity , put the packs in leave for the recommended time and all done , no messing about with sponges of distilled water , would get if on offer if not you do pay for the convenience but even at full price the ease of use is worth it.
