The Casio W217h is the bigger brother of that classic of the watch world, with a larger case and longer strap, but retaining the original retro styling of the F91w. In terms of features, minimalist is the word. It has time/day/date, then a single alarm setting, and stopwatch. You can set an hourly chime and choose between 24hr clock, and that's it. But isn't there something nice and simple about that in this day and age, as opposed to a smartwatch that does a million things and beeps endlessly with notifications and needs charging every day? Less is more sometimes, and this watch does everything you need it to. The display is clear with large digits, and the backlight is excellent, making the display glow orange in the dark, which is pretty cool. The styling is retro and though the F91w probably is slightly better looking overall due to it's slimness, this watch looks much better when worn than the photos suggest, so will grow on you. It's robust enough that you can use it as a daily beater without worrying about damaging it due to the low cost, and is so light you forget you are wearing it. I own a number of watches including more expensive ones, but this one ends up on my wrist the most and it can't be faulted for the money. The Casio B650 is the silver stainless steel version which I ended up buying too as I liked the design so much, and that is also an excellent choice if you want something slightly different. Buy it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Casio made a better F91W *by F***S on 17 February 2018* This is a review of model W-217H-1AVEF (the black/grey one rather than the black/orange one). The black/orange one has a tinted LCD and the back-light is not as good; I didn't like the black/orange model that I bought from Argos, so I took it back and bought this one from Amazon instead. The watch is basically a larger, and better, F91W: it's more waterproof, you can see it at night with the back light, the beeps are louder, the strap is a bit longer and looks easier to swap out than the F91W. It's like Casio decided to pimp their best selling, longest production run, famous watch and came up with this one. The light of the W-217H-1AVEF (the black/grey model) is really a lot better than the other model: it shines through the LCD giving a negative display at night. The black/orange version (W-217H-9AVEF) does not do this but rather just shines on the LCD. It's pretty accurate. The specs say +/- 30 seconds a month, but mine is about 4 seconds fast after over 2 weeks. You'll be very unlucky if you buy any Casio that turns out to be near the spec limit; I've never been that unlucky with any Casio.
