The Clementoni Science Museum Evolution Robot is a rechargeable, programmable STEM toy designed for children aged 8 and up. It features Bluetooth connectivity, interactive moving parts, and an English-language app with coding tutorials and three game modes to develop problem-solving, logic, and programming skills. Evolution Robot… the programmable interactive robot Evolution Robot is at the forefront of Made in Clementoni science, created to introduce children to the world of educational robotics and teach them the basics of computational thinking and programming, in an easy and engaging way. Once built and programmed, this engaging scientific toy will help you discover the world of robotics and engineering. Designed, conceived, developed and manufactured entirely in Italy. The scientific manual supplied contains lots of information on robotics and electronics to help the user become a real expert The robot is available in two different colours, white and black, which cannot be selected EVOLUTION ROBOT APP After building the robot, kids can programme it to pick up and move objects using its arms, chest and caterpillar tracks. Once all the parts have been assembled, children can use the Clementoni Evolution Robot app (downloaded from App Store and Google Play Store to a tablet or smartphone equipped with a Bluetooth module) to learn how to programme and play with three interactive game modes. There are three interactive game modes Real Time When used in the real-time configuration, the app allows control of the robot just like a remote control. The robot will execute all the commands in real time via the Bluetooth connection. Moreover, the robot can be framed with the camera to execute all the movements on the device’s screen, to take photos and videos. Coding This game mode can be used to programme the robot by creating a sequence of commands to send to it, containing movements at different speeds, sequences of lights and various sound effects, learning the basics of coding. Memo The Memo Mode is a form of mind training that can be used to exercise the memory and powers of observation. By selecting a level of difficulty, the app will generate a random sequence of commands and send them to the robot without showing it. While the robot executes the commands imparted, the child must carefully observe it and try to guess which commands it received and reconstruct the sequence, and then check whether any errors were made and the percentage of correct responses given. Evolution will then tell you whether you’ve guessed right or have to start again.

Review: Damaged part - The box arrived with unbroken cellophane packaging around the outside. However, when we opened the box, the parts were jumbled up inside and there was a damaged part. This was a birthday present and it wasn't until it was all put together that we found this out. It does work but not as it should. Very disappointed.
