It was so easy - just took a few minutes to work out how to get it to boot up from a USB stick and then it was straightforward (and I like the way that you can try it first). Have now decided to keep the laptop as I think I can have fun with it (and it is a pleasant change from Microsoft) ### ⭐ This is a huge disappointment as a paid for packed distro (the OS is ... *by R***Y on 8 September 2015* Installed a very basic desktop on a AMD 64 bit machine (Dell Vostro) with windows with no menu's and thus a really unusable workflow. This was very different to the run directly off the memory stick (which is of course standalone) which worked well. After some investigation gave up and installed MINT (free download) on the machine with no issues.
