Plugged it and it works straight out - no drivers, no questions asked. If you are wondering whether you can connect an older laptop with Mini DisplayPort 1.4 (I believe mine is V1.4) to a new 4K TV and also make it work at 60Hz without flickering and at full resolution, I can confirm this does the job. You should check what is the max supported resolution on your DP and mchine so you don't blame the adapter for not doing it's job well. If your PC is newer and has support for HDMI 2.0 then you can do this directly through HDMI - no need to buy this unless you need another screen. Please note for all this to work you also need the correct spec HDMI 2.0 cable - not all are made equal!
