The adjustable guide is a useful bonus, making it possible to create a row of holes the same distance in from the edge of the material. The punches are solid rather than slightly sharpened tubes. It relies on the precision die into which the punch is pressed to shear the holes rather than cut them like a pastry cutter. Match the die to the punch by rotating the disc on the plate the workpiece rests on and it cuts beautifully.

This is easy to use as it has quite a good spring on the handle and it cuts the leather well. Happy with it and have used it a few times now. Good grip handle and sharp enough prongs for the hole cutting.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Alternative to the Traditional Style Hole Punch

I purchased these over other styles of punch as with this model the punch goes through a sized hole on the receiving platform, so you’re not just relying on the punch being sharp to cut the hole. 90% of the time this punch went through cleanly, first time. With tougher materials you may need to remove the hanging chad with a sharp blade or fine scissors, but for me this was seldom. More moving parts but worth it for the clean cuts.
