The sensor is fairly small, battery already installed… had done my homework and knew I needed the Govee Distributed Gateway in order to best utilize this device; picked up a pair of Govee smart plugs that also act as the necessary hubs. By combining the two, you are able to lint the sensor to the hub/plug and truly take advantage of configuring it automation capabilities. My first one was purchased during that Holliday Sale high… as a result of realizing that for whatever reason I continuously leave the bathroom lights on.. working from home; this means they can and will be on all day and all night unnecessarily. So, this kinda just fell into my lap and everything started sparkling and “Dreamweaver” was faintly heard… it was meant to be. Setup: super freaking easy. Open box. Open App. Hit the + in the app.. bam! Added the sensor and plug hub. But say I need a distributed gateway. Where can I get one and will it work?** A: The more Govee devices you have the bigger your gateway. I know you can get a gateway with the 3-pack temperature sensor. But a few light bulbs should give you a distributed Gateway **Q: Can this be set up to ignore my pets motion or will it detect everything?** A: Mine detects my 25 lb dog. But it does matter how you position it. **Q: Hi all, any idea how wide the field of view is? I want to put one in the middle of my stairwell but not sure how well it will cover.** A: I have one in my bathroom and closet. They seem to have a wide field of range. I honestly feel that you shouldn't have any problem. Just know they are battery powers so you'll have to change them and don't want it to hi. Anyway, I hope this helps a little. Good luck **Q: Would this work with Govee light bulbs ?** A: I have this set up in my bathroom running 4 lights at different brightness and I also have it set to run for two different times. Like after midnight it only turns on one bulb at 1% brightness. This will work for bulbs and other items like the Govee fan and also an icemaker or anything you want on a motion sensor. This is a great product and you should get good use with your bulbs. As govee there compatability for everything is great. Awesome little motion detector full range of motion once adhered but also good setting in the app that is also extremely easy to use. yet again the is a product needing a gateway as in a hub but if you got it its extremely easy to pick and choose what you want to turn on and off.
