I bought this as a birthday present for myself as it was released on my birthday. I was excited to see it here today. It was with great anticipation that I dropped the needle. What followed was disappointing at best. The surface noise was the loudest I have ever heard from a new album. I cleaned it with a carbon brush to no avail. What I did hear wasnt impressive in respect to the sound of the recording. Bright and 2 dimensional. I have a very nice tube based system that shows the recording quality and this one wasnt impressive. The extreme amount of clicks makes this record not listenable. Perusing some other discussion groups it seems this is not an isolated incident. I love every song and this remaster is so well done as compared to a lot of recent remastered vinyl. The copy I received is one of the quietest vinyl I bought in the past couple of years.
