To my dismay, the eight pieces identified as P7 in the instruction book were not there. I went on the reviews to see if anyone else had this problem and sure enough it was mentioned by several people. desertcart agreed to send me another box so that I could remove the missing parts and complete the assembly. Upon opening the new box, I realized that the missing eight pieces were actually tucked into the upper cat laying area, but they were inserted in such a way that it look like additional padding. My apologies for not observing this sooner. (See photos below) After assembling the cat tree, I found it to be of high quality materials and relatively easy to assemble with the exception of having to locate the screw hole through multiple parts in order to screw it in. Very frustrating. I solved this by using a sharpened pencil to push through the hole and use that to locate the opening on the receiving end and once located, I held it in place and simply inserted the screw. After assembly, our newly acquired kitten, discovered it, and within minutes had already climbed to the top and was comfortably laying in the padded area on top. A note of caution, you must make sure that the screws are extremely tight when assembling, or it may result in a non-stable structure. This was not a problem for me and it is solid as a rock.
