Now a successful TV commercials producer, juggling her roles of career woman, wife and mother, she attempts to shut them out. But soon Sam is faced with the reality of dreams in which her life and that of her family are threatened. In desperation, she consults the experts: a psychiatrist; a clairvoyant...but to no avail. Sam is being inexorably drawn into a vortex of terror from which there is no escape...

### ⭐⭐⭐

A page turner, but rather disjointed in parts. Not a book I would recommend.

Dreamer by Peter.JamesA very strange book. Very bitty and fragmented in places. Found it quite hard to give it my full concentration.I have read a couple of James’s books in the past and the first one I found in the local Library. It is called Dead Simple and is in his Roy Grace series. This is one of the best books I have ever read. The later ones of his I have had ,have not come anywhere near to this by comparison. This book i have just finished is a story about a married lady who has continual dreams which appear to come true, and her very long quest to find someone to help her to stop having these nightly episodes .Although it was definitely a page turner, I found it rather disjointed in places and was very disappointed in the storyline .

    Dreadful

What a badly written load of tosh! The main character is really irritating and boring, no wonder her husband had the affair. No one would put up with this woman. She wonders why her son prefers his father, or his nanny (who never seems to get a day off!), well the little brat probably wants someone less self obsessed! All the characters (such as they are) are cardboard thin and uninteresting. The plot? Well really!! This writer is no Stephen King and has no idea how to make horror realistic. I would need to be very bored indeed to consider reading another such.

Peter James, always a good read

As always, Peter James provides a good read. His characters are mostly believable and easy to identify with. After hoovering up all his police procedurals, I have moved on to this other genre and am enjoying it .... though perhaps TBH a little less than the crime fiction. But any Peter James work is better than none
