The black sponge is for helping in positioning the different accessories for the baby, so they can stay in position and not move around in the vanity case.

Q: Are the dimensions above of the product or the cardboard box the product is in.. I will be using the box for my beauty wax pot.

Only if you removed the inner compartment or lay the bottles flat. I wouldn’t recommend it for bottles tbh. I used it to store nappies, wipes and toiletries
