They provide enough cushion that I can walk throughout the day in them without my feet aching and the straps are soft and don't rub or cause blisters. Also, since they strap around the ankle I don't find myself clenching my toes to keep them in place like with flip-flops. They are also pretty versatile. I even wore them to a work event. It was the most comfortable I've ever been at an all day meeting before. I also haven't noticed any problem with overheating wearing them on hot days.
