I bought these to run the power cable from my fishfinder through the hull and into a dry area of my kayak. The assortment pack had the right size for my need and found the threaded area that the nut attaches a bit short. The area that I drilled through to run the wire for the cable glad is slightly uneven in thickness and found I could barely get the nut tightened up on the backside without any extra thread, just wish the thread was slightly longer to allow going through thicker material. Otherwise, the cable gland is doing a great job of keeping water out of my hull and gives the installation of my power wire a super clean appearance. ### ⭐⭐ Poorly designed, will not mount to most materials thicker than 1/16" *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2018* Be aware these don't have a very long threaded portion for mounting to your equipment. Unless youre dealing with a super thin metal panel, they will NOT work. I was mounting to a plastic NEMA box and the plastic was too thick to screw down the nut.
