I have not yet used in for an actual presentation but I've tested it out. What I've discovered is that in order to use it to actually amplify your voice, you need to have the volume on the speaker/amplifier turned up almost all the way. When you first turn on the amplifier, it seems to default to a volume of 10. The volume range goes up to 20 and you need to turn it up to something close to 20 in order for it to be effective. Then you need to be careful to not get the microphone too close to the speaker or you'll get the high-pitched squeal of feedback. The microphone is divided into two parts. There is a flexible part that's intended to go either over your head or around the back of your neck. Then there's the part that contains the electronics and the microphone itself. It's a little bit tricky to get the two parts matched up properly so they lock together. The microphone needs to be quite close to your mouth in order for it to be effective so you'll probably get a lot of "plosives" that come through the speaker.
