It reawakens a childish imagination of what it could be like to live in someonelse's shoes and explores some interesting and still massively relevant issues of how society responds to people differently just by the clothes they wear or the documents they carry. You get totally absorbed into the story and whilst you realise that Mr Abignail is clearly a criminal, you know the reason why he is behaving that way and you sympathise with him. Who's side will you take? Who do you root for? When I first watched it I changed my mind on this multiple times, and still do every time I watch it. How refreshing! So many films are so black and white good vs evil, but this one is far more entertaining because it forces you to really think hard about who is in the right.The attention to detail in the film is incredible.
