The first side took 1.6 litres, one can covered 5 sides after adjusting nozzle pattern and flow. It’s expensive stuff, not quite sure why, but anyway, it’s very highly rated and the fence panels were expensive, so worthy of a couple of coats. It’s a very thin consistency and rapidly soaks into the wood so I think spraying is the most economical and best option. One panel takes about 2 minutes to spray!I bought a 400W Von Haus Spray Gun off Amazon, a really good bit of kit, and very easy to use. Ordinary white spirit will clean the gun after use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very effective *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 7 September 2023* I've been treating some wany edge barn walls - first time since we moved here 8 years ago so probably in dire need! I noticed when it rained that the water just ran off or sat on the surface in droplets, like it does on a freshly polished car. I'm delighted and am confident it will prolong the life of the wood. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice natural finish *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 June 2020* I sanded my really grotty-looking shed back to fresh(ish) pine and then applied this in two coats to stop it discolouring in future. I don’t know if it will work, but my shed looks natural instead of dyed and I can see the woodgrain better for the preservative. I needed double the amount I thought I would, but I am very happy with the look. The product (clear) makes only a very small difference to the woods appearance so don’t use it if you don’t already like the look of your shed or whatever. (I gave 5 stars for its water resistance and value for money qualities but I have no idea really.
