I've done it but you risk loosing a few bits as there are very small springs that will start to fly everywhere. Another way that I've done is of your lock has an adjustable latch bolt, if so you can reduce it so that it will not press against the pin. If you don't want to risk it, I suggest an effeff electric Stoke, they are also very good and don't have memory function. **Q: How can i order a dc one? only can find the ac, but on describtion it says av or dc.** A: Its DC unit, 12-24VDC.
