Not impressed
I bought a load of torches at the same time to see which was best. This wasnt. Overpriced by a long way and not as good as many cheaper ones. Not the one to get at all. I was disappointed as it raved about itself. It wasnt anythibg like as good as the sales pitch

Fits my bill
I really like this flashlight, especially for the price. It is very bright in "full" mode, and in "half" mode it provides adequate light to do the job and conserve battery life. The third mode is "strobe", which I never use, but I could see that would be handy to have to get someones attention. I also like the operation, which is simple and straight forward. Turn it on with one click and it goes to full mode. Turn it off with a single click, then turn it back on with a single click for half bright mode. Turn it off once again with a single click and then back on again with a single click to go to strobe mode. Some people might not like the fact that the flashlight "remembers" which mode it is in. This means that if you turn it off while in high mode, the next time you turn it on it goes to half bright mode, even if that is the following day. For me, this is not an issue. I usually cycle through the 3 modes after I am done using it so that it comes on to full mode the next time I use it. Even if I forget to do that, it doesn't bother me to cycle to the mode I want. The alternative to this is usually a flashlight with a rotating switch mechanism at the rear of the flashlight that allows you to set it to a fixed mode so that it always comes on to the mode you have that set to. From my experience, I don't like that mechanism because it is one more thing that can cause the flashlight to malfunction. I have a few NEBO flashlights with that feature and I used to like it until they malfunctioned.Another feature that is nice about this flashlight is that you can slide the top bezel forward for a tight zoom or backward for wide area span. Simple. Some people might complain that when the flashlight bezel is in the extended position for a tight zoom you get the "square LED aberration effect". I used to think that was a problem, but not anymore because I am used to it. I don't care if the beam is square instead of round, it gets the job done either way.Another thing I like about this flashlight is that it uses 3 AAA batteries which I keep on hand and buy in bulk and are inexpensive. This flashlight does not use them up like other flashlights I have owned. To me, flashlights are a kind of tool like a pair of sunglasses. I don't like to spend a lot of money on them because they can get broken, lost, or stolen easily. For these reasons, you won't see me buying a $100 flashlight (like Surefire) of $100 pair of sunglasses (like Ray Ban). I like to stay in the $20 range. This flashlight is sturdy, attractive, well designed, and for the money ... exactly fits my purposes.

super bright; amazing
My J5 Hyper V Tactical Flashlight brings to mind the old saying, "Seeing is Believing. For a year or so I had been seeing ads for flashlights such as these: super bright; amazing; the best, etc. Not that I use a flashlight frequently, or not that I don't own several flashlights. I guess it's a guy thing to want another one. So...without paying an arm & leg for one (actually cheap), I bought the J5 V. Size wise, it is perfect. Not too small and not too big. I also looks awesome. It feels awesome as well. Metal not plastic. This morning my dog was in the backyard barking. Still dark out. Clicking the red button left me with a shock and awe feeling. You can adjust this from wide to narrow. I think mine is at about the half-way point. What more can I say? This flashlight is nothing like I have ever owned. It is like - Star-Wars bright. Check out my YouTube channel - by my name above. I talk about illusion. The brightness of this J5 will certainly shatter any darkness.Update: Remember that creating light (and this is VERY intense light) takes enormous power (from the batteries). I was told that creating light is one of the biggest drains on a battery. Therefore, keep very fresh batteries in your flashlight for that "wow factor."Update: Just bought a second one. Planing to buy a 3rd for my boss for Christmas.

Small, Durable, Strong Flashlight
The media could not be loaded. Quality product but if you are expecting the flash light to be large it wont be. Nonetheless a solid tactical flashlight!
