The Amazon description says YES but the can says NO!** A: I'm sorry to see that you have been confused by the directions of use on our product and I hope I can help in solving your problem; there was a recent change in HSE regulations that meant we were not allowed to advise that the product could be sprayed directly onto clothes. The formulation within the can has not been altered, only the directions of use and therefore the instructions on more recent cans may appear to contradict those found on cans produced before the change was implemented. I don’t actually know where to spray I just keep finding the little carpet bugs** A: I spray around the edges of all the carpets in the lounge, hall, bedrooms study etc. Also selected areas on the kitchen floor, and bathrooms. Finally also along the bottom of the front and and patio doors and inside the cupboards. Check your hoover as I noticed a nest had settled inside and needed treating. I found the product excellent for controlling moths and bugs. **Q: Does this work if clothes aren't washed? I don't think I could physically wash all my clothes** A: According to the directions for use on the can this is not suitable for spraying directly onto clothes, despite being called clothes moth killer. it is for storage areas only. I have found it very useful and certainly killing moths. I tend to just lightly spray it into the top of my wardrobe and not directly at any clothes and seems to be helping with the problem. **Q: Can i spray on carpets and rugs?** A: We sprayed it liberally around the whole room with no adverse effect on soft furnishings. I would hesitate to recommend it directly for carpets as it is not specifically designed for such, but if you accept the risk then fine. The spray worked really quickly and 100 per cent successfully. Will tell later if it worked with the carpet Beetle 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works - follow the process correctly *by H***1 on 8 April 2024* So I've had an infestation of carpet beetles for 3 years. I washed all my clothes at high temperatures and had professionals do a heat treatment and spray insecticide. And at the end of every summer I would think we eradicated the problem, only to see new beetles in the spring. So here is what I did last year and I think it's worked. I used this spray all the time and it does kill the larvae and beetles but not the eggs. So if you are not seeing long term results this is likely why. What I didn't know was that even if you don't see any more after treatment in the summer months, the larvae stick around in the winter and the eggs keep hatching too. They only become beetles in the spring. So you need to treat in the winter months too even if you don't see them. I used this spray all through summer and winter last year and this year (I would hoover, spray, leave for a few weeks and hoover, spray again). It was tedious but if your not doing this in the winter months you may see them again.. So make sure you empty your cupboards, spray them and let the spray dry. Hot wash/dry all your clothes, and get this spray in all areas of the home. Including any nooks and crannies as they can hide behind skirting. Don't forget to wash/spray your curtains too. Also if you have no little ones or pets you can also use ant killer powder on the edges of your floor/carpets and hoover it after a few weeks and that will help too. Following this should eradicate your problem. And this spray works. I've tried another spray but it was too oily, this one dries faster and does the job and I always keep spare bottles of these in the house now. One thing I agree with others, wear a mask especially if spraying a larger area.
