12 x Mini Magnifying Glasses

These little lenses are about 4cm diameter with a focal length of 20cm. I used them in a science project where 7-11 year old children built their own camera obscura with a lens, a shoebox and a sheet of tracing paper. The lenses are perfect for this purpose. They are excellent value for money. The multipack provided enough lenses for a whole group of children. I found the lenses make a decent (but useless) 1x telescope when paired up. If the manufacturer could also make a similar multipack of lenses with a different focal length you could make a more useful telescope. The lenses can be used as magnifying glasses, but they don't work as well for this purpose because of their poor image quality. I would rather buy one good lens for magnifying and share it between the children, and definitely don't buy these lenses if you want to read with them. Having said that, they are great for projection and optics projects and deserve 5 stars for value for money.

Cute little things and you get lots. My 3 year old enjoys using them in the garden. Small though so I’m sure they will get lost quickly. As a teacher I’m not sure they’d last long and the magnification isn’t great.

Not very good. Quite blurry when looking at small writing. Great for kids i suppose.

Children loved using these to find insects outside

Really good price and delivery was quick. 12 of them. Ideal for my handbag. I know the comments were mostly about children but as said ideal for my handbag and the magnifier I find really just what I want and need.

I order a pack of these for use in a primary school.They are badly made so that the viewing lens is distorted. It therefore does not magnify!They would be just about okay for very young children to pretend with - but even so, they could not actually look at anything!

These are great for kids. Got for a four year old to use with ‘where’s wolly book’. Didn’t need 12, but as these came in that quantity at a brilliant price I now have these all over the house, great for small print cooking instructions.
