Shame it didn't get answered. I have a similarly space constrained need.
I will be mounting a 27inch in landscape and a 21.5inch in portrait. 
As my desk is right up against the wall and my space is quite restricted due to sloping roof. I also need to know how far away from the wall the monitors backs would be with no gap between monitors. Will I need to pull desk away from wall a little to allow some backwards movement of the arms? The desk is 60cm deep dont want monitors right up in my face.

A: yes you can as it is all jointed with hex bolts which can be tightened to lock it in place. these can be removed.
