Possibly but whatever surface I use any acrylic paint on I always prime it first. It's water based so you might have to seal it afterwards too. **Q: Can this paint be used on metal ?** A: I do not know I used it on ceramic. Sorry. **Q: Can this be used on items like cups and mugs? Is it washable and heat resistant?** A: I've seen it used on various things, but not used it on anything other than canvas.
