## Description

For fireplaces that have an opening in the floor to dispose of ashes, a cast iron cover is necessary to keep this opening covered. Our cast iron Ash Dump has a louvered door that can be easily opened to clean ash and debris without a mess. Fits an opening 3 3/4-in x 8-in, and a diagram is included for creating a new opening.

Review: Very practical - It is very easy to dump the ashes through it, it stays closed when needed, it is heavy and sturdy, ti fits perfect in my fireplace. I installed it myself and it was very easy to install. As you can see it's been used a few times!
Review: Well designed and good quality - Top side of the lid is weighted underneath so it closes easily and stays closed unless you specifically push to open the lid. Larger diameter rod supports on each side of the lid, and the heavier weight of the lid, make the lid quite secure so it is less likely to accidentally flip off the frame. Good lid seal when it is closed because the lid is a good fit and because the edges of the frame go underneath the sides of the lid.

It is very easy to dump the ashes through it, it stays closed when needed, it is heavy and sturdy, ti fits perfect in my fireplace. I installed it myself and it was very easy to install. As you can see it's been used a few times!
