Review: Perfect for starting out - I recently got back into scale miniatures. I build 1:35 scale tanks and have just taken the delve into Warhammer. Shifting over from tanks, I didn’t have many bright colours. This box has stocked me up nicely on some key colours. The paints are of a good quality and I’m a big fan of the dropper style bottle. I’ve airbrushed and hand painted with a number of them and find they mix well. If I was to be picky I would say one or two of the colours don’t have as good a coverage as the citadel range but for the price, excellent and two thin coats works great for most. The only thing I wasn’t to fond of was the gun metal metallic paint. The reflective particles were a little bit two large for adding a dry brush silver effect. Otherwise not a bad colour. Great gift, good for a budget stock up of paints.

**Q: Has anyone used then for warhammer and how do they compare to the official ones?**
A: Just as good if not better than the Citadel ones. Some colours from the Citadel range you won't find in the Vallejo range and visa versa, so I tend to use a combination of both when painting.

**Q: Is this really the 16 paint introduction set? The pictures and price would suggest so but the description is incorrect. Thanks.**

A: yes, they are

**Q: would you recommend these paints to miniature painting artists?**
A: Yes!! If you are planning on painting fantasy (Warhammer, Mordheim 40K etc) then you will want these paints. If your painting military (Bolt Action) then go with him vallejo model colour set.
