**Q: Can you cook stew in this cooker**
A: yes, the best thing for stew, either slow cook, or use grains setting to do it quicker. If you need to brown onion or meat first, place the ingredient, use the Grain setting, this is the hottest setting, once done, then add other ingredients and hot water, put on slow cook, or grains setting to finish off the cooking. Hope this answer has been helpful.

**Q: Can you open the lid and clean it? I am guessing if you cook rice etc it will get dirty,**
A: The top inside lid, which includes the rubber gasket, is completely removable for cleaning/washing, as is the steam release valve, which can be removed, disassembled and cleaned.

**Q: Can you cook. Brown rice and pasta in it**
A: It does cook pasta using the steaming function, I use mine to cook both rice and pasta

**Q: Is this the same as a slow cooker**
A: No. But The truth is; it does more than the things or functions of a SLOW COOKER. So it's Multi-Functional.
It has

3. Brown Rice button.
4. Oatmeal/Porridge button.
5. Grains button.
