They have a bright and slightly raspy sound. I expected excellent quality from the harp, but the quality of the case really surprised me. For those few u-blockers, this is an older style with the plates overlapping the comb. It can irritate your tongue. But the smaller holes with wider comb between them makes single notes easier than for instance a Lee Oskar.
