We needed to replace it so we opted for this style with the replaceable cutout. Can be a little difficult to operate at first (a little jerky) until one gets used to it. Very nice for getting into tub safely. My daughter put it together for me very rapidly and made it appear fairly easy to assemble. If you plan to assemble it yourself, assemble and set it up prior to surgery. Practice using it if you have an opportunity also. This would be an excellent product for someone with permanent disability to provide a bit of independence for showering. Big problem however if you drop your soap! Perhaps add soap dish and way to clamp hand held shower nozzle to side when you need to use your hands.
