A: Not with the packaging.  You simply hold it so that it is level and away from metal objects and the arrow will point towards magnetic North.

**Q: I want to ad these to resin and I use a special curing machines that heats to 150° . Will these withstand that heat ???**

[4.5⭐] They're great for the price. I did have one not working right away, and one is sluggish but works. The rest of them work really well, and are as accurate as my larger compasses. Worth It.
