Solid steel body for optimal strength and security. Hardened, chrome plated steel cylinder guard plate and security nut. Drain hole on bottom of padlock allows water to drain out from under the shackle preventing corrosion & damage to the spring when used outdoors. Solid brass cylinder and pins with solid brass plug. It’s pretty much immune to shimming, and it’s built tough, also the core is easily removable and rekey.There are a couple of negatives. The core can easily be bypassed if you know how and have the right tool, but there’s an easy fix for that, and seems to be made of a softer metal than I would like. It can be picked, but it is tricky.
