Will this product stick to metal? Is this product water proof?** A: Sanded = yes. Painted = Do some research on painting of foam and check the Smooth-On website for more info. Stick to metal = Yes. Water-proof = It is not a foam for nautical use if that is what you are asking. **Q: is this for molds?** A: Pouring final products or to make molds either works **Q: putting in a gypsum cement mold will vasiline work for the release? thanks** A: No, Vaseline won't release the foam from the gypsum. As long as your mold doesn't have a lot of convolutions and/or undercuts, you can get good results from sealing the mold surface with 2 or three layers of shellac and using a mold wax to release the foam. You're much better of casting this foam in silicone molds. **Q: When put it in a silicone mold and wait for it to dry, it hardens. I want it to be soft.
