They look more like black golden retrievers. Both weigh about 82 lbs, 1 has a more lean athletic build like a standard poodle the other is stocky build with a thicker booty like a golden. The lean boy measured right at 30 inches around and the thicker boy measured at 33 inches. I initially bought the XL based on the size chart. The XL was too big for the lean boy it was a little loose for him. I decided to return the XL and instead get a large. The large fit both boys with plenty of room to expand if either of them gained some pounds.
