Review: It works again! - The container of my Vitamix 5200 started leaking from the bottom several months ago. First it was just a tiny leak. I though it was from me not tightening the retainer nut enough after removing it to get a thorough wash. So ... I tightened it some more. Still leaked. Oh well ... not a big deal. Just wipe up the Vitamix top after each use. Well, it continued to get worse through the months until it was just a continual drip. Yeah ... I don't think I'm going to be blending anything with this anymore! So, in looking for a solution, I figured I'll try just replacing the rubber gasket in the blade assembly. Hey, don't judge - it's a $3 vs. a $65 fix. Can't hurt to try, right? Well, as you might have guessed, it wasn't it. Finally sucked it up and bought the wet blade assembly. It was easy to replace once I got the retainer nut off. I soaked the container itself in some vinegar for a while to get off all the build-up first. The new one doesn't sit flushed against the retainer nut -- it sinks down maybe 1/32"? Not a big deal as long as it doesn't leak on me! Been using it every morning now for a few days and it's holding up well.
Review: Perfect Replacement - I originally bought a much cheaper knock-off to replace my damaged assembly, which didn't work out. It leaked, didn't fit well, and was really noisy. I decided to cut my losses and go for an original replacement and am very pleased with the result. It fits perfectly, runs smoothly, and does not leak. Well worth it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this blade fit teh Vita Mix 3600?**
A: I would bet not, vitamix says they only provide parts back 20 years, and this model was introduced in 1969 .. you can see its blade here:http://www.ebay.com/itm/VITAMIX-STAINLESS-STEEL-CONTAINER-PITCHER-3600-4000-W-BLADES-SPIGOT-HANDLE-/300847266263?pt=Small_Kitchen_Appliances_US&hash=item460be4f9d7doesn't look anything like the blade you're asking about .if you want to know more for surebuy the manual: Vita Mix 3600 manual:http://www.amazon.com/Manual-Instructions-Directions-Recipes-Vitamix/dp/B007IDYWMEhere's some gossip suggesting ebay is your only chance:http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/harvest/msg0212291823836.htmlThere is a schematic for the 3600 at the vitamix site, but no manual. Apparently, they are no longer sourcing parts for the 3600,which is why there's an active market on ebay forused canisters, lids and bases.People are apparently scavenging parts from used components.

**Q: will this fit a super 5000 #VM0103?**
A: I just purchased this blade assembly for my Vita Mix Super 5000 #Vm0103 and it fit perfectly and works like new.

**Q: Will this fit the Vitamix 5000? and do I need the nut set? I have the wrench already**
A: Yes it will fit the Vitamix 5000. I do not think you need the nut set as you can just use the old one, unless of course you do not have one at all in that case you would have to buy it.

**Q: Does this blade fit Vita Mix 750?**
A: No. I have the vita mix 750 with the 64 ounce pitcher. The part number on the blade I received was 104675–1 and the part number I need it for my vita mix 750 is 105733. The bearing housing for the smaller blades will not fit the 64 ounce pitcher, in other words it won’t seal.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked great!
*by N***O on August 30, 2024*

The seal on the old wet blade assembly was failing, causing the bearings to rust and grind. With this product, the blender works like new. As my wife pointed out, the cost of this assembly is almost the same as a whole new pitcher, so that might have been the better way to go. I just hate throwing out stuff that still works.
