Review: nice bulb for my birds - Did you know that birds need vitamin D from the sun, and even if they are in front of a window, they might not be getting enough? Windows can diminish the amount from the light passing through them, so this is a solid option to use. I have mine set in a lamp on a timer so I know that my birds are getting enough during the day. When starting to use a bulb like this, make sure to gradually increase the time it is on, and make sure that your bird has a spot in it's cage that it can be away from the light. This type of light can cause sunburn if used too much. The end fits in a regular light bulb lamp, so it can be used in multiple ways. I've gone through a few of these over the years, and would continue to buy in the future.

**Q: Is this the tiny screw fitting or the regular one please?**
A: Hi. This has a regular fitting for a standard light socket.

**Q: What percent is the UVA?**
A: I don't think the info tells us about the UVA. I've used these bulbs for a year at a time and everybody seems to be very happy. :)

**Q: Does this bulb give off a lot of heat?**
A: Very little to none at all.

**Q: Can I use this as a bulb in a flush mount ceiling light fixture? Will the glass cover impact effectiveness?**
A: I would think distance would be of concern. As for glass cover, I have no idea.
