I cooked 3 smaller steaks of 2 different thickness on it & the only problem was keeping them from sliding toward the front . It cooks pretty well . I cooked the 3 steaks which were about 2" thick on 380° for 10 minutes , rotating them to get good grill marks . They weren't done enough so I upped the temp to 400° & cooked for another 6 minutes . They ended up with a good amount of pink & joicy . Clean up , the drip tray was which is much larger than the older models is quite large wasn't very full . The cooking surfaces which are dishwasher safe were very easy to wipe clean . However they didn't come as clean in the dishwasher as I had hoped . Our dishwasher is 11 years old so Im not blaming our George . It's advertised for 5 burgers , no way unless they're a little larger than White Castle burgers . I got 2 full size Bubba burgers on it & maybe 3 after a little surgery . It's easy to use , to wash & it stands up for storage . I use it weekly and have never had a problem with the temperature it is preset for. Burgers, grilled cheese, chicken, etc. **Q: How can I purchase another control panel cord for this grill? I had it for six months and love it! The kids did something with the cord...** A: I would contact the seller, give them the model/serial number and tell them you need a replacement heating element. Also tell them you've only had it 6 months and maybe they'll replace for free or at least a discount. **Q: If you don't have a dishwasher, are you OK to just wash the grill plates? Or is it safe to soak everything in a regular kitchen sink to wash it?** A: Its ok to just wash the grill plates and yes its ok soak in kitchen sink but not the electrical unit. That should never be soaked in water or under water faucet. **Q: This question was asked before but never answered: What is the difference between the bronze and grey grill plates?** A: My answer was entered, but apparently deleted afterwards. Anyway, I've copied my answer, hope you enjoy your grill as much as I do. ------------------------------------------------------------- Initial response: The bronze plates do not stick to anything and you don't have to spray with any cooking spray.
