A: 2.4lbs. This weight is just right, not too heavy, and not light. It can give your neck a good heat compress effect.

**Q: How do you wash this?**
A: It cannot be washed with water, but the surface can be cleaned with a wet rag.

**Q: how long do you microwave for?**
A: I microwave mine for around 5 minutes. I check on it a couple of times, so I don't  over heat it. My micro is 700 watt.

This item is very well made and looks good but unfortunately I found it far too heavy for my very painful shoulders .
