**Q: This is waterproof/water resistant?**
A: The pack is largely water resistant and will repel water from it's surface. It also contains a water shield in the lower pocket that can entirely cover the backpack in the case of a torrential downpour. I have felt safe carrying a laptop in this bag in heavy rain.

Going back to the office and I wanted a backpack to replace a well used laptop bag. This works great. Separate compartment for laptop means I don’t have to open the main area and dig. Plenty of space for cables, keys, notepads, pens, sunglasses and other necessaries. Durable, fits my broad shoulders and looks good!
