We used to have to spend time cutting the corn off the cob for her because we were afraid she would hurt herself with the knife if left to do it on her own. This is easy to use and our daughter can take the corn off herself, without having it fly all over the table in the process.My only negative would be that this can be hard to take apart to clean and put back together. The two pieces don't line up really easily, but it's doable.
