If you have to overstretch the shorty that comes with the unit, the coils begin to tear, it pops out from the back on the unit making placement adjustments to the unit. The length is inappropriate from the get go.We have the PAC AN135HPEKC and the adapters that connect the hose to the unit and the other to the window exhaust port transferred from the original hose to this one with zero issues. This did exactly what it was supposed to do. It connected a to a coupler and existing length of same size hose to my portable air conditioner. NOTE: Do make sure that the the threads of your existing hose, (the coupler you are going to need to connect them) and new purchased hose will work together. Take a close look at the coupler and your hose and the extension hose before you buy. The threading wasn't quite right, but I was able to make it work and rotate into the threading of my a/c attachments. I didn't use my a/c a ton over the summer, but it certainly worked well when it needed to.
