With a traditional fan with blades I always worried he would get hit if the was changing and it was on. A couple times it was close. Having a caged fan prevents this problem. We installed it in our kitchen because we needed a fan and more light. The industrial caged ceiling fan looks very contemporary industrial style and it was just the look I wanted! Installation was easy.The fan is quiet and provides a good amount of airflow.
