**Q: Is this thread UV resistant?**
A: This isn't incredibly UV resistant, it will likely weaken with continuous UV exposure, but the color seems to hold fairly well. Because of the weakening, it might be advisable to do a double seam to reinforce the connection.

**Q: How strong is the thread ?**
A: It lifted 4.25kg of water at a 40deg angle so I think that’s roughly 10kg-12kg evenly loaded on a single thread.

**Q: Would this be suitable for repairing the the stitching on a vinyl convertible top?**
A: I believe it would. I sewed boat seats with it.

**Q: what weight?**
A: Not sure. A little thicker than standard all purpose thread. Very strong.

This spool of thread is perfect for sewing items that are thicker. The needles are perfect for any job and the scissors also work very well to cut the thread. My only complaint is the thimble does not work well but that isn’t why I bought the spool.

I bought this kit to fix a ripped seam on a duffle bag while I was on a recent trip.My stitching is shoddy looking and very amateur and still it has held together.

This set is great for the most part. However, some smaller straight needles would be nice.Nevertheless, those needles can be found in most sewing kits.The thread itself has so far proven to be durable.
