Now, because of the size, the battery is not going to last long (especially on high) but that is not whet they are for. I have one on my mini fridge and one on the cabinet in my office and I am surprised at how often I reach for these over my regular flashlights. Since there is a magnet on the back it's easy to just store them on anything metal.
