Its genuine silver and I know that (not only from the 925 stamp on the inside) but also because it does not stain my finger or cause any irritation. Its also very soft like silver typically is. This means it bent a little bit easier than other metals (like stainless steel) however it conformed to my finger and is still comfortable. One thing you have to note are the points on either side of this can get caught. They get caught in my pants pockets sometimes, as well as my hair, and if you work anywhere that makes you use gloves it can be a pain.
