I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Deprime, clean, measure and sort, then use this tool to trim the long brass. While the shell is in the holder it is also convenient to pick up another tool and chamfer the cut end. After the first dozen or so I quit measuring after the trim, it was VERY CONSISTENT. Threading the gauge into the cutter requires a padded vise or a padded pair of pliers. If you do not get the gauge all the way into the cutter you will be long. Many including myself use the holder screwed into the lock stud in a drill to polish brass cases with 000 steel wool. It makes the cases SO pretty. I know, it is an extra step, but if you want to have that next level of pride in your reloads... Review: Works great and very easy to use. - One of the easiest ways to trim cases. As long as you know you need the lock stud and trimmer handle, which aren't included in this kit. Mine were included in my Lee Challenger reloading kit. I just chuck in the lock stud and nut. Hand tighten the case, and start trimming. This trimmer takes just a second or two to trim the case down to a tenth or so under your max trim length. De-bur the case and you are ready to go. Nice product that works exactly as advertised. My guess is it will probably trim many many thousands of cases before any issues arise.
