## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you start with two drives and then add to the array or will you have to reformat?**
A: If you wish to expand the existing raid array you will need to delete and recreate the raid array. If you want to create a new 2 disc array that is possible to do. Note this is not a restriction on the device but how raid arrays are structured.

**Q: Is this raid able to do 10gbs? Or is its limit 450mbs?**
A: The RocketStor 6114V is the Industry’s First 4-Bay RAID 5 USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gb/S Storage Enclosure. The RocketStor’s performance with RAID 0 can Read up to 500MB/s Write up to 470MB/s.

**Q: Does this work on linux in jbod mode?**
A: Yes it will work in JBOD mode in any OS.

Be aware that the bus reset problem when swapping drives is hardware, so this is not a good enclosure if you expect to be swapping disks,  you need to shutdown (at least unmount all volumes) to do any swapping of disks.

**Q: Can i use sas drives?**
A: This product is only compatible with SATA drives.
