The unmarked brown packaging made me doubtful about the saw's authenticity. Two days later, I carefully checked the packaging again and found the Dewalt 6-1/2" T18 ripping saw blade press-packed in a brown cardboard sheet, which had initially seemed like scrap cardboard. The 6-1/2" saw is just the right size and weight for me, and with all items accounted for, I am very pleased with the purchase. If your looking for a “blade right” saw check out the dcs573. Dewalt dosent make a blade right 6 1/2 inch circular saw that I know of. Hope this helps **Q: Does it cut trex/composite deck boards?** A: I have cut a lot of things with my saw, but not deck boards. However, my experience with composite lumber is that it is soft and easily cut. So weak in fact that when I tried to cut timber the blade would come to a halt but the motor continued to spin. I was only 2cm into the cut before it stopped.
