I used to own those stone types that stuck to my glasses, and when I forgot to flick the stone coaster off my cup on humid days, the coasters would plummet to the ground and shatter. Then, I needed something to replace cheap press-board ones I had, and that had warped because the lacquer seal had worn out over the years. Still need to place a napkin on top, as heavy condensation can spill over, especially on extremely humid days and much ice-water being served. Must dust my place every day to prevent dust from sticking to the coasters: silicone really attracts dust like nobody's business. Never place these coasters atop a dusty surface, and things will be fine. Advise you to put a piece of napkin under or put on top on top of previous coaster to prevent the ring on the wood. We used a similar product at a friends house on Superbowl Sunday, and loved them. I found them on Amazon, but wanted to see if there were any comparable products available. I found several and finally decided to try these. They were super cute and happened to be the best price (less than half of the other brand). Shipping was super quick (thanks Amazon prime!!!). We opened them up and was surprised to find that they are as good if not better than the ones we had used previously. The company reps emailed to make sure we were happy with the purchase and gave a ton of alternative uses for them. They are sturdy, heat resistant, good as hot plates, drink covers, and don't slip on any surface I've tried so far!
