I don't know why, but it appears as though when I plug in the new ones, the usb doesn't get detected until I pull it out just a little. After that I can leave it just a titch out or push it back in and it doesn't lose connection, but for whatever reason, unless I do that it does not detect the drives. All other devices work fine on it.
