Review: Incredible! - I bought this lion head as a gift idea this Christmas for my brother, I didn't have much to spend and thought this would be an interesting gift for him as he likes lions. For $40, I figured it would be good for novelty sake but I had no the quality of this product. It is remarkably well made, there is a real solid weight and gorgeous detail that you really can't appreciate in the pictures. If there was a Fox head or maybe a Bunny, I would get one for myself. It's fun, it may not go well in your parents living room but if you like decorating your personal space just for you, then this is a great way to go if you are a fan of a particular animal.
Review: Just one word......Amazing - In my humble opinion the tiger head mount looked more realistic in the pictures. Not so in person. This lion sculptures facial expression reminds me of a house cat that is slightly annoyed and doesn't want to be bothered. The eyes and their cold stare make this so realistic, that you might think twice before you turn your back on the king of beasts. If I could score this from 1 to 100, it would be the latter. The person that made the mold for this piece is a very talented artist and knows their felines well. The paint scheme is amazing and also gives this piece it's lifelike appearance. Between these two pieces, a few prints, and figurines, I can visit the big cats just by stepping in to our living room.

Excellent size, nice detail, heavy weight. The artist might not be Van Gogh but the detail, coloring and texture works for me and at a fair price. I have a lot of safari decor and have many similar product hanging fron a 25ft long beam that is 10 ft high. So I dont need the detail or fine artistry of a Design Tuscano product typically half the size, 1/3 the weight and twice the price. I surround them with freenery in wood vases for a kind of contempo, Deco, MCM, modern look, lol. Try this corp out and I believe you will be pleasantly supeeised...
